Samson Hengle

Samson went to his forever home the morning of August 26th, 2023 🌈 after exactly 3 yrs at the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Western NC. We can picture him lopping through a field of grass full of daisies. Our big handsome boy that stomped everywhere he went, Nanny to all the little pups that came through the rescue, our lover, and our fighter. He loved to sleep outside in the yard at night and just look at the stars. The one who barked WOOF, WOOF, WOOF in his big unique bass bark, always 3 times never more, never less. Who stomped his feet, jumped and leaped when he saw us come back from going out. The one who was the sun that the rescue revolved around.

Dear Samson, We held on tight to you in your final moments; then you were gone, we wanted to retain that feeling of you in our arms but our arms were empty. We never want to forget how you felt, how you always laid your head on our laps or how you would paw with your giant paw for attention. We will never forget you Samson ever. Having you brought so much joy and life to the rescue. We love you so much Samson. Goodbye big boy.
